Track rod ends on all Land Rover Discoveries, Defenders and Classic Range Rovers wear out over time. Our Discovery had a badly worn track rod end on the steering drop arm (left hand thread), Defenders have a different type of ball joint on the steering box drop arm, but the axle track rod ends are the same on all models, so this post will.
